With the innovative Intel i845 chipset,the ASUS P4B is the smart Intel P4 solution and supports up to 3GB of standardPC100/PC133 SDRAM. Latest processor technology
The P4B motherboard supports the latest IntelPentium 4 478/Northwood Processor, also known as P4, via a 478 surface mount ZIFsocket.

SDRAM Memory Support
The P4B with the Intel i845 chipset supports3 DIMMs or up to 3GB of PC100/PC133 SDRAM and lets users experience today’smost advanced Intel P4 technology without paying a high premium.

System Voice Warnings
A unique onboard speech IC chip and ASUS POST Reporter; provides clearexplanations of system errors for quick and easy optimization. The P4B alsoincludes Winbond Voice Editor allowing users to add customized system voicewarnings and multi-language support. Through the system's internal speaker, oran added external speaker, you will hear the messages informing you of thesystem boot status and causes of boot erros, if any.

Special Smart Card Support
Smart card reader support enablescutting-edge technology features such as increased security, authenticatingonline transactions, editing IC based information and more.

Flexible Power Connectivity
The ASUS EZ Plug patented technology lets youuse your existing ATX power supply (250Watt) rather than buying a new ATX 12Vpower supply previously needed with Pentium 4 systems. The ASUS EZ Plig is a4-pin auxillary + 12V connector mounted on the motherboard that connects aregular 4-pin device power connector from the power supply. This connectorprovides the additional power byt eh P4 CPU.
