employing optical fibre cable infrastructure. The cable has orange
sheathing.

Ethernet networks (10Mbps to 100Gigabit) and a variety of
other systems including EPON and GPON passive
optical networks, Fibre channel, HIPPI, OTN and ATM (SDH
or SONET).
