The HDMI Splitter allows a HDMI source to run up to 4 x HDMI equipped
display units.
HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a compact audio/video
interface for transferring uncompressed digital audio/video data from a
HDMI-compliant source device to a compatible digital audio/video display
device. A digital audio/video source for HDMI can include a HDMI-compliant
set-top box, DVD player, HD DVD player, Blu-ray Disc player, camcorder,
personal computer, video game console and AV receiver. A HDMI-compliant
display device can include a computer monitor, video projector, and
digital television.
The HDMI Splitter is an active device that splits the source signal 4
ways ensuring no signal loss or signal degradation at the 4 output ends.
Being an active device it needs external power source (power adaptor),
which is supplied with the unit.
This device is simple to install and operate. Connect the input source
to the input HDMI connection via a HDMI cable and connect the output
displays to the output HDMI connections via HDMI cables. Plug in the
power cable and turn on power to the adaptor, before all the input and
output equipment. After turning on the source and display equipment it
is ready to go.
Best suited for applications where the signal source is required at
multiple locations such as sharing TV, DVD, set-top-box, gaming console
and computer. This is often required in home entertainment, offices,
commercial or industrial applications.
